THE KIND OF FOOD THAT DOES IT’S JOB

The food at Love’s Cookery is meant to feel steady

Love’s Cookery meals are grounded, comforting, and thoughtfully composed. They’re chosen based on what will feel most supportive for the situation at hand.

That might look like soups like mushroom barley, broccoli cheddar, or matzo ball. Simple baked goods like homemade sourdough or banana bread. Mains like chicken hash, beef stew, herbed turkey meatballs, or tuna casserole.

Nothing is random. Nothing is pulled from a fixed menu.

It’s drawn from my personal repertoire and adapted for each situation. Each week is planned with intention. There’s a balance between comfort, variety, and what will hold up well over a few days.

There’s a rhythm to it.

Meals are designed to feel balanced across the week. Something warm and grounding. Something with a bit of brightness. And something that holds well and can be returned to easily.

That might include honey carrots or green beans with mushrooms. Braised greens, roast potatoes, or macaroni salad to round things out. And something simple and sweet when it makes sense, like chocolate pudding or apple crisp.

It’s a considered offering, but not rigid. Preferences and needs are always taken into account. Small adjustments are made where they matter.

Everything is cooked in small batches. It’s designed to reheat well, so it still feels like a real meal a day or two later.

This isn’t restaurant food. And it’s not meal prep.

It’s the kind of food that makes it easier to eat regularly. To feel taken care of.

To move through the day with a little more steadiness.
